Overview

Accounting is the language of the business world. Any business professional that does not have a basic grasp of that language will be at a disadvantage to others, in the same way that no appreciation of the Italian language will reduce the enjoyment of a Tuscan summer holiday.

BG Consulting provides accounting and financial analysis training to financial institutions, law firms and corporates. We provide participants with the knowledge and skills they require to maximize their contribution to their organisation, whether they are a summer intern or a board member.

We offer tailored, in depth accounting and analysis programmes that can run for up to two weeks, taking participants from a starting point of nil up to a level where even the most complex financial statements can be analysed and assessed, covering:

Financial statements
Accounting principles
Financial analysis
Group accounts

We also offer focused, targeted modules which can go into great depth in a particular area, helping staff in their discussions with their clients and colleagues, and improving the advice they provide. Topics might include:

Accounting for off balance sheet financing arrangements
Accounting for pension and share option schemes
Accounting for foreign exchange translation
International accounting differences and the impact of IFRS
Accounting for derivatives (IAS39 and Hedge Accounting)

Our accounting and financial analysis trainers are all qualified accountants, with backgrounds ranging from big 4 audit firms to investment banks. In addition to extensive training experience they all bring with them a thorough grounding in the City.

Whatever the need, BG Consulting can offer an accounting and financial analysis training programme that will engage and enlighten, resulting in a tangible improvement in business performance.
